What is Muhurat Trading?
Muhurat Trading is a special one-hour trading session conducted on the occasion of Diwali by BSE and NSE. It marks an auspicious start to the new financial year and many investors participate, believing it will bring prosperity.
When is the Muhurat Trading Session and what are the timings?
The Diwali Muhurat Trading Session is scheduled on Tuesday, 21st October, 2025 between 1:45 PM - 2:45 PM.
During this exclusive trading session, you will have the opportunity to engage in the following products:
- Buy and Sell Stocks for Delivery and Intraday
- Buy Stocks through Pay Later (MTF)
- Futures and Options
Please note that the following facilities will not be available during the Muhurat Trading session:
- Selling in Delivery for shares purchased on 20th October (BTST)
- Sale of existing positions under Pay Later (MTF)
- eATM sell orders
