How to place a buy/sell GTT order for stocks?

You can place a Buy/Sell GTT request through multiple ways on ICICI Direct:

Through Old Website:

A. From the Place Order Page

a. For placing a fresh Buy/Sell order, click on the GTT tab.

b. Select the Exchange (NSE or BSE)

c. Confirm the action (Buy or Sell)

d. Select the Trigger Type: Single or OCO

e. Enter Stock Name and Quantity

f. Set your Trigger Price and Limit Price for your GTT request.

g. Click on Create GTT to confirm the order. The request will remain active for 365 days or until it is triggered/cancelled.

B. From the Watchlist (Website)

a. Navigate to your Watchlist and select the stock.

b. Click on the 3 dots and select GTT.

c. Enter Quantity and select Trigger Type.

d. Place GTT Order after typing your Trigger Price.

Through New Website:

a. Login to the website

b. Go to Stocks and click on Watchlist

c. Click on Place Order

d. Search for the stock you want to place an order for

e. Enable the toggle for GTT

The GTT request remains active for 365 days unless triggered or manually canceled. Once the stock reaches your Trigger Price, a Limit Order is sent to the exchange for execution
