Which Equity segments can NRIs trade in?

NRIs can only do delivery-based investments i.e. in Cash. Square off order can be placed only if shares are held in Demat Account. NRI cannot trade in Margin, Margin Plus, & Spot.

NRIs are offered equity trading on pure delivery basis on both National Stock Exchange (NSE) as well as Bombay stock exchange (BSE). As per regulatory guidelines, NRIs are not allowed to do intra-day trading or settlement of trades, therefore it is disabled for NRIs on ICICIdirect.com
