Do NRI customers need separate NRI accounts for repatriation and non-repatriation investments?

No, one ICICI Direct NRI account suffices for both repatriation and non-repatriation investments. However, you need to have two separate bank accounts respectively i.e. NRE and NRO linked to it. Your demat account(s) for both types of investments shall be linked accordingly. Only one account opening form is needed for all accounts
