What happens if there is a shortage of shares in the client’s demat account for a delivery sell order in F&O stocks?

Under the Delivery Product, client is allowed to place sell order for shares to the extent of quantity which is available in his demat account. However, if for some reason, the client is unable to deliver the shares on any day or shares are not debited from clients account within the stipulated timeline for the purpose of pay in to Exchange then the same instance will be considered as Short sell transaction and ICICI Securities Limited may consider the same for Short Sell reporting to the Exchange in accordance with the regulatory guidelines prevailing from time to time.

The client hereby agrees that the same will be considered as adequate compliance with respect to the disclosure requirement as per the SEBI Circular ref no. SEBI/HO/MRD/MRD-PoD-3/P/CIR/2024/1 dated January 05,2024 and subsequent circulars/guidelines issued from time to time in this regard.
