What happens if I don't renew my policy on time?

If you don't renew your policy on time then a grace period is provided for renewal—15 days if you pay premiums monthly, and 30 days in all other cases. If the premium is not paid within the applicable grace period, you will lose renewal benefits, including continuity for pre-existing disease coverage, and will need to apply for a fresh policy. Claims occurring during the grace period are not covered unless the premium is paid in instalments during the policy period.
