How much GST do I have to pay on travel insurance premium?

If you are buying an individual or family travel insurance policy, you don’t have to pay any GST on the premium. Earlier, 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST) was applicable but that has been removed from 22nd September 2025 by the GST Council of India.
