What is the brokerage charged for Global Invest?
Stocks:
*These rates are applicable for:
- US Equities and ETFs only
- Orders below 10,000 shares or USD 100,000 order value in a single order. In case the order value is greater than USD 100,000 or number of shares is greater than 10,000 shares in a single order then additional brokerage rate of USD 0.005 per share or USD 1(whichever is higher) will be charged. For On Close or On Open US listed stock orders that exceed 10% of an accounts monthly US stock trading volume, an extra USD 0.005 per share will be charged. Note: Market orders placed prior to regular trading hours will be treated as Market On Open orders and will count towards client threshold.
Additional transaction fees on Sell orders:
- For Stocks, ETF, Warrants, Rights, Voting Trust Certificates: USD 0.0000221 * Value of Aggregate Sales
- FINRA Trading Activity Fee - USD 0.000119 * Quantity Sold (Maximum USD 5.95 per trade. Each partial execution is considered as a seperate trade)
Notes:
a. Stamp taxes (UK=0.5%, Ireland=1%) are directly passed through to the client.
b. IB is also required to charge the Panel of Takeovers and Mergers Levy of GBP 1.00 on all orders over GBP 10,000 on shares of companies registered in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man or Channel Islands.

1. For stocks, warrants and structured products traded on the SEHK:
- Government stamp duty- 0.1% rounded up to the nearest 1.00 ( normally applies only to stocks)
- SFC transaction levy: 0.0027%(normally applies to stocks and warrants). These charges are passed on to all clients regardless of the commission model. Clickhere for SEHK shares.
2. For stocks traded on Shanghai-Hong Kong Connect and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Connect, all external costs will be passed on to clients regardless of commission model.
