Why can’t I modify my GTT order in F&O?

You may not be able to modify your GTT (Good Till Triggered) order because it has already been triggered, converted into a regular limit order, or due to certain reasons mentioned below. Once a GTT is triggered, it no longer remains a GTT order and therefore cannot be modified as one.

Although you can modify the GTT from your order book once its triggered.

Common Reasons Why GTT Order Cannot Be Modified

1) GTT Order Has Already Been Triggered

This is the most common reason.

Example (F&O):

You must cancel the pending limit order and place a new GTT request if required.

2) Trying to Modify the Other “Leg” in OCO GTT

In a GTT OCO (One Cancels Other) order:

Example:

3) Insufficient Funds or Holdings

Example:

4) Corporate Actions
