Where is the gold stored for Gold ETFs?
For investments made before 1 April 2023:
- Gains are taxed as per your income tax slab, regardless of holding period
- Dividends are also taxed as per slab
For investments made on or after 1 April 2023:
- Gains are always taxed as per income tax slab (no indexation benefit)
