Can I hold Commodity position till expiry?

At ICICI Direct, on the day of settlement, the cut-off timing for all the commodity future and option positions square-off is 10:00 PM.

Futures Settlement:
Positions in the physically-settled commodity futures are squared-off 1 day prior to the start of tender delivery period of the contract. However, positions in the Cash-settled futures of Crude Oil & Natural Gas can be traded till expiry day.

Options Settlement:
All Commodity Options can be traded till expiry day.
